1. Overview
The Control Method is a discreet 12-week pelvic floor training app for men. The app provides general wellness and educational training guidance. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or cure.
The Control Method is designed to be private by default. The app does not require an account, does not require a login, does not use advertising, does not sell personal data, and does not track users across apps or websites.
Most app data, including training progress and reminder settings, is stored locally on your device. Purchase-related data may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat to provide, validate, restore, and manage Pro access.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The Control Method may store the following information locally on your device:
- Program start date
- Completed sessions
- Training progress
- XP
- Levels
- Streaks
- Milestones
- Reminder times
- Notification enabled or disabled settings
- Theme preference
- Exercise preferences
- Weekly check-ins
- Current week or day override settings
- Session state if a session is interrupted
- Pro access state or cache where applicable
This local information is used to run the app, show your progress, maintain your training state, schedule reminders, remember your preferences, and provide the training experience.
TDR Labs does not operate its own backend for storing your training progress. We do not receive, access, or store your local training progress on TDR Labs servers.
3. Information Processed for Purchases
The Control Method offers a lifetime non-consumable Pro unlock through Apple In-App Purchase. The product ID is control_pro_lifetime. The RevenueCat entitlement ID is pro.
The first two weeks of the program are available for free. Pro unlocks access to weeks 3-12.
To provide paid access, validate purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and manage Pro entitlement status, purchase-related information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat. This may include information such as:
- Anonymous RevenueCat app user identifier
- Apple App Store transaction identifiers
- Product identifiers
- Purchase status
- Entitlement status
- Storefront, store, app, device, or platform information relevant to purchase validation
- Purchase, restore, refund, or entitlement events
- Diagnostic information related to purchase functionality, where applicable
TDR Labs does not receive or store your payment card number, bank account details, or Apple Account password.
4. RevenueCat
The Control Method uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore purchases, and manage the Pro entitlement.
RevenueCat may process purchase-related identifiers and transaction information needed to determine whether Pro access is active. This allows the app to unlock Pro features after purchase and restore access if you reinstall the app or use Apple purchase restoration.
RevenueCat is used for purchase functionality and purchase-related analytics. It is not used by The Control Method for advertising, retargeting, or tracking you across apps or websites.
The Control Method does not send your local training progress, completed sessions, weekly check-ins, reminder times, exercise preferences, or pelvic floor training history to RevenueCat.
5. Apple In-App Purchase
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple In-App Purchase.
Apple may process purchase, payment, tax, refund, and account information according to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. TDR Labs does not receive your payment card details.
You can manage purchases, refunds, and Apple Account payment information through Apple and the App Store.
6. Notifications
If you enable reminders, The Control Method schedules local notifications on your device.
Reminder times and notification enabled or disabled settings are stored locally on your device. These reminders are used only to remind you about your selected training sessions.
You can disable reminders in the app settings or in your device settings.
7. Data We Do Not Collect
The Control Method does not require an account or login. The app does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, address, contacts, photos, precise location, HealthKit data, health records, payment card details, or sexual activity data.
The app does not collect your local training progress on TDR Labs servers.
If you contact TDR Labs by email, we will receive the email address and message content you choose to send. We use that information only to respond to your request, provide support, and keep appropriate records of the communication.
8. Tracking, Advertising, and Sale of Data
The Control Method does not use third-party advertising.
The Control Method does not sell personal data.
The Control Method does not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The Control Method does not track users across apps or websites.
RevenueCat is used for purchase validation, purchase restoration, entitlement management, fraud prevention, and purchase-related analytics. It is not used by The Control Method for advertising or cross-app tracking.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Local progress data remains on your device until you reset your progress, delete the app, or clear the relevant device data.
You can reset your progress from within the app. You can also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data, subject to normal iOS behavior and any device backup settings you control.
Purchase-related records processed by Apple and RevenueCat may be retained as needed for purchase validation, purchase restoration, entitlement management, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute handling, and service security.
Because The Control Method does not use accounts and does not store your training progress on TDR Labs servers, TDR Labs may not be able to access, recover, export, or delete local app data from your device.
For questions about purchase-related data processed through RevenueCat, contact TDR Labs at support@tdrlabs.dev. We may need enough information to locate the relevant purchase-related record, if technically available.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under applicable law. These may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about how personal data is processed.
For users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, TDR Labs generally relies on the following legal bases where personal data is processed:
- Performance of a contract, to provide the app and Pro access you request
- Legitimate interests, to maintain purchase functionality, prevent fraud, provide support, and keep the app reliable
- Legal obligations, where records are needed for tax, accounting, dispute, or compliance purposes
- Consent, where required by law or device permissions, such as enabling notifications
California residents may have rights under applicable California privacy law, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information. The Control Method does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a privacy request, contact TDR Labs at support@tdrlabs.dev.
Because the app does not require an account and most app data is stored locally on your device, some requests may be limited by what TDR Labs can technically access.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Control Method is designed for users who are interested in men’s wellness and pelvic floor training. The app is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal data to TDR Labs, contact us at support@tdrlabs.dev.
12. Health and Medical Disclaimer
The Control Method provides general wellness and educational training guidance only.
The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or cure for any medical condition.
The app is not a substitute for professional medical advice or care. If you experience pain, discomfort, pelvic health symptoms, sexual health concerns, urinary symptoms, or any medical concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
13. International Users
The Control Method may be used by users in different countries. Purchase-related information may be processed by Apple, RevenueCat, and their service providers in countries other than your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal data.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
TDR Labs may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law or platform rules.
